Description

The smartest access point

Expanding the rich capabilities of the Aironet portfolio, the Cisco Aironet 4800 provides high performance, top-notch security and detailed analytics, including location. You get a wireless network with stronger security and data analysis without degrading performance.

Features and Capabilities

Instant network analysis

Intelligent Capture probes the network and provides DNA Center with deep analysis. The software can track over 240 anomalies and instantaneously review all packets on demand, emulating the onsite network administrator. Intelligent Capture allows for more informed decisions on your wireless networks.

Issue detection

With a radio designed solely for security, the Aironet 4800 is a sentry that stops rogue agents attempting to gain access to your network. This dedicated radio constantly monitors the wireless network looking for anything that can cause a threat or interfere with performance.

Built-in hyperlocation

When combined with Operational Insights, the integrated radio for hyperlocation provides granular data by making it possible to monitor and track devices to within three meters. Hyperlocation helps both employees and guests with the application-enabled indoor wayfinding and navigation feature.

Four internal radios

Why does the Aironet 4800 need four built-in radios? The radios allow the access point’s features to simultaneously help securely cover your network, provide real-time analytics and wayfinding, and offer high-quality Wi-Fi.

Better performance for many client devices

The 4800 supports 802.11ac Wave 2. But it also goes beyond the Wi-Fi standard with innovations that provide a better user experience while automatically increasing network capacity in high-density scenarios.
